Cultural Night 2015

It was that time of the year again, that unique time where everyone in the society comes together to make one successful performance! Cultural Night! This year, in conjunction to the theme of love, the society decided to perform a play about the Fasting month of Ramadan and Hari Raya. This was a chance to not just showcase what our culture is all about but for the entire society to work together, spend weeks rehearsing together and have fun together! This truly was an enjoyable experience.

Here is a video of our performance:

and some photos pre-show:

Give It A Go!

On the 13th of February 2015, the BruLeeds society had a "Give it a Go" session held at the University of Leeds. This involves booths showcasing what our culture is all about, providing a taste of Brunei. We also had members of the society wearing Baju Kurung and Cara Melayu, as well as talking through guests who came to visit the booth. The event was a lot of fun and we thank everyone who came to support!

New Logo!

The BruLeeds Society has been around for 8 years now. Many people have gone and graduated from being students to now our alumni. The BruLeeds Community on the other hand, goes much further back.

To mark this 'milestone', we (the committee) would like to propose to everyone to have our logo changed and update.

The main reasoning for this is mainly due to the fact that the old logo is pixelated and has a very small resolution. This can be problematic when it comes to documents and pictures. However I also hope it can mean to symbolically represent the renewal and rejuvenation of our society, especially for the future years to come.

The new logo retains many elements of the previous logo, showing how we still remember the roots of our society, and as nod towards the original creator of the current logo.

Without further adieu, here is the new logo:

The new logo was designed and created by  Fahmi Rosli. We'd like to give a special thanks to him. He's a talented art student currently studying in the University of Scarborough.

The old logo will be retired and archived. It won't be gone, but simply not in use.
Old logo:

Many thanks to the original creator of this logo as well. It will always have a special place in our hearts.

Lazer Tag!
